Greater Saint John area readers and writers can expect another exciting Fog Lit Festival this October with #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Kelley Armstrong headlining an impressive lineup of guest authors, including; bestselling author Leslie Crewe, three time Dartmouth Book Award winner Beatrice MacNeil, internationally renowned forensic anthropologist Debra Komar, poet and critic Jason Guriel, this year’s winner of the Jim Connors Dartmouth Book Award (Fiction) Stefanie Domet, Norma West Linder and Dave Atkinson, an award-winning freelance journalist, columnist, and broadcaster from PEI. Volunteer with Fog Lit Festival
Do you like to read or write? Do you like to organize or socialize? Are you looking to volunteer in a fun and interesting environment? Join the Fog Lit organizing team today!
We are looking for volunteers to help with our event planning for Fog Lit 2014 – October 1st-5th. We are setting up committees for each event.
The event planning committees this year include;
Words and Wine
Authors, Ale and Acoustics
Haunted Saint John
We are also seeking help in the following areas;
Marketing and Promotion/Social Media
Fog Lit Journal
If you have skills in any of these areas please sign up to volunteer at the link below.
We expect the volunteer commitment to be approximately 4-5 meetings leading up to the Festival, and time during final preparation of the event as well as during the event itself.
Fog Lit is also seeking a volunteer to be our volunteer coordinator. If you have great organizational, scheduling and people skills, we need you! Go to the link below.

We are proud to present the first annual Fog Lit Emerging Writers Contest for the Greater Saint John area. Fog Lit aims to promote our talented pool of local writers by going beyond the four day festival, and giving everyone an opportunity to share their work.

Fog Lit is a not for profit festival for readers and writers of all ages. We intend to offer a modern all inclusive family festival, providing an exciting line up of mainstream events, workshops, panel discussions and readings. Fog Lit Festival’s aim is to encourage reading and writing, while recognizing the achievements of our many talented Atlantic Canadian writers. We have an exciting line up of events, including; Words and Wine, Fog Lit Teen Coffee House, Novel Tea, Ghost Stories of Saint John,Murders and Executions of Saint John, Good fit Book, Publishing Panel, and Authors, Ale and Acoustics. We are also partnering with UNBSJ and The Lorenzo Society to promote One Campus, One Book event and the Lorenzo Reading.
